The Georgia Tech men's tennis team battled with the 20th-ranked
Wolfpack, but came up short, falling 4-3 to NC State Friday afternoon
at the Bill Moore Tennis Center. With the loss, the Jackets slip to
5-13 overall and 2-6 in the Atlantic Coast Conference.
The Yellow Jackets will face a tight turnaround as they prepare to host
No. 11 Wake Forest Saturday at 2 p.m. in their last home match of the

The 24th-ranked Georgia Tech softball team
(34-12, 4-5 ACC) will host Florida State (27-17, 5-4) in an Atlantic
Coast Conference match-up this Saturday-Sunday, April 7-8. The Yellow
Jackets and Seminoles will play a doubleheader on Saturday and a single
game on Easter Sunday, both days starting at 1 p.m.

The Yellow Jackets trail the Seminoles in the all-time series 11-39, but have won five of last nine games against FSU.

Senior utility player Kristina Hull
was named as one of 20 of the top NCAA softball student-athletes for
the 2007 Lowe's Senior CLASS Award in the all-new softball division,
announced on Friday. [GT AA]
The Georgia Tech volleyball team will host the ACC/SEC Challenge this
weekend, as four members from each conference participate in a battle
between the top two leagues in the southeast.
Matches will begin at 9 a.m. Saturday and conclude with the
featured match of the day, Georgia Tech vs. Alabama, at 5:30 p.m.
Admission for all matches is free, and t-shirts will be given away to
the first 200 fans in attendance.
Joining the Yellow Jackets from the Atlantic Coast Conference
will be Duke, Florida State and Virginia, all of which finished in the
top five in the league last season, and they will be facing Auburn and
NCAA Tournament participants Alabama, Ole Miss and Tennessee from the
Southeastern Conference.
