GT Hockey wins rubber match vs. UGA

Threatening police action, UGA officials barred the GT pep band from the arena on 1/20. The classless act was justified by UGA to preserve advantage on their home ice, the Duluth Ice Forum

Police could not help keep the puck out of their net as the Jackets cruised to an easy 7-4 win and has now taken 2 of 3 games this year.

WSB TV reported UGA's win over GT, but neither WSB nor the AJC is reporting on GT's win over UGA, as of this posting.

Ice Hockey was established at Georgia Tech in 1973. This season marks the 30th year of competitive intercollegiate play. It is a student-run sport club, not supported/managed by the GT AA.

UGhA beats GT, again

Georgia's Andrew Wiese had a hard time recalling a goal he'll never forget Saturday night at the Savannah Civic Center.

But his goal with just 2 minutes, 22 seconds remaining couldn't have been more memorable, providing the Bulldogs with a 1-0 victory over Georgia Tech in the Memorial Health Hockey Classic.

GT goaltender could make Classic history

Georgia Tech backup goaltender Natalie Sanders did not get into the game during the Yellow Jackets' 7-4 victory over Florida State on Friday night, but if she plays tonight against Georgia, she would become the first woman ever to play in the Memorial Health Hockey Classic.

The Yellow Jackets cruised to a 7-4 victory over Florida State in Friday night's first game of the ninth annual Memorial Health Hockey Classic.

Now Georgia Tech is eager to take the ice at the Savannah Civic Center and snap Georgia's three-year winning streak. The teams will play at 8:30 p.m. today to determine who will hoist the Thrasher Cup for a fifth time. FSU (4-3) will play Florida (1-9) at 5:30 p.m.
