They are a little temporarily insane here at the filter tip of Tobacco Road. The beginning of basketball
season has been interrupted momentarily by black-helmeted strangers
carrying the school name into December, 11 at a time. It's football —
championship football — a concept as foreign to the people of this area
as the nicotine patch.
