We dine out in the Greater Atlanta area often, and we'll share our experiences with you in this blog, which was started on 5/20/2007.
Our posts during the past two weeks are shown below. To see earlier posts, click on the archive links in the sidebar.

What did you think of the place where you and some CP regulars dined Tuesday night?

The "DePeaux" cajun restaurant , located in the relocated old train depot building in Decatur, opens on Tuesday (or so they tell me).
Please dine there and file a report at your earliest convenience, so I'll know whether to bother.
Since the City of Decatur is only charging a $1 a month rent (or so I'm told), it will be an exercise in socialized dining.
Thank you so much!

Darn glad I stumbled into this site.
Not like I was gonna pay over $30 bucks for a darned old steak anyway. Not when I can buy a bigger one cooked like I want it at Longhorns for under a 10 spot.
And how bout the gaul of that prissy place calling one of their steaks the Cowboy cut? Bet there wasn't a guy working there who's ever been on a horse.
How bout reviewing a BBQ place. That's my kind of eaten!
Being a libertyarian, I didn't like that miliary URL, so I'm glad you've got your own short and sweet one now.
... if I can just remember how to spell restourant and revue. (I flunked out of UGA after two years of taking the easy courses.)
The RJ part is easy, as my dad's name is Ricky Josh,
Keep all the revoos comin! Being called "Red" by some myself (don't know why) I like your "red" writin style.

Anxiously awaiting your timely review of the 2nd Annual Jamaican Jerk-Off at the Corner Pub on E. College (between the Commerce car underpass and the MARTA pedestrian overpass), on 8/5/07, since both of you were there.
Was Luke the Landscaper's dish really the best, or did the "presentation" (cheap mat and palm leaf) influence the judges?
Which is more important? The way food looks, or the way food tastes?
And, can one use too much spice? Man, some of that stuff was burning me up! But, I wasn't affected as bad as some. Christian's face turned red after eating some of it.
How'd you like the tee shirt?

Don't worry. Be happy.

Your reviews are great. I'm looking forward to more.
Did you eat out last weekend or this week?
The new review links in the sidebar give me something to read while I wait to see how many Menorahs or Little Redheads the next subject restaurant gets.

Have either of you guys dined out during the past week, or the two weekends on each side of it? If so, where are the writeups, already? A blog, like a pet, once adopted, requires regular care and feeding.
Sorry, but (based on the frequency of your posts) I'm beginning to wonder if you really eat out that much.
Perhaps you should redirect your blog toward home cooking, assuming you cook at home (and don't order to go at fast food places or pizza delivered by UGA grads between your extravagances). If you eat delivered food most of the time, you could focus on that. (In terms of demographics, a very large % of Atlanta eaters probably either pick up food at fast food windows, pick up take up orders at local restaurants (paying the premium for the ambiance, but not experiencing it), or have food delivered to their door, so they can eat it in the charming ambiance surrounding their dinette table (or maybe they still have some of those little fold-out tables sold for eating warmed-up frozen meals whlie watching shows like "I love Lucy" back in the 50s and 60s. - except now they are watching American Idol and such).
Maybe it would help if each of your readers would kick in a buck to pay for your rare but exotic choices in eating places, or for your review of door delivered delicacies.
Personally, I'd like to see a comparison of the the $3.79 (with Kroger card) Kroger's self-rising pizza vs. the $5.49 Freschetta pizza (I don't find the difference in taste worth the money, much less the $12-13 cost (with tip) for Dominoes -- or whatever -- pizza delivered to my door)
We (the poor and practical, some of us here in the States illegally) want to enjoy the good life through your eyes and taste buds, but we need new material every week or two to justify coming here looking.
Take care,
Juan

Good news to those who come here looking for new reviews, day after day:
The AJC (Access Atlanta) has published its Fall Dining Guide. The paper is actually worth "fiddy cents" today if it's in there. If not, it's online (free subs. req'd):
http://www.accessatlanta.com/restaurants/content/restaurants/diningguide/fall07/2007/10/02/dgintro_1004.html
East Intown Atlanta (roughtly between Braircliff and I-285) was slighted, with only a handful of restaurants in the Top 50 and "Best of the Rest."
An interactive map shows the majority of noted restaurants are on or near Peachtree. That's the way things are in Atlanta.
Displaying its renowned ability to get things wrong, the AJC named a restaurant in Athens (75 miles away and not even in the 28 counties now officially in the Atlanta SMSA) the #1 restaurant in Metro Atlanta.
