As a regular inDECATUR reader, you can privately preview Regator 2.0

 inDECATUR, only a year old at the time, was selected to be one of the original sites monitored by Regator, a Decatur-based human-curated blog directory, and has used and  promoted it ever since. 

I check it every morning and evening, at a minimum.

Regator has provided 20 private beta invites to Regator 2.0 to the first 20 inDECATUR readers who scoff them up, so don't dally if you want one of them. 

Go to http://preview.regator.com and enter indecatur as the invite code and your e-mail.

I have completely explored it yet, but what I've seen so far looks and works great, and it runs FAST!

"Taste of Decatur" is currently the top trending topic for Atlanta. (Get there by clicking on LOCAL in the topbar, then selecting the US and Atlanta.)

Looks like there will never be a Piggly Wiggly at Suburban Plaza

You may recall how close Piggly Wiggly came to opening in Suburban Plaza. The checkout counters were rebuilt to be yellow and green. There were Piggly Wiggly images at the top of the windows.

But, today, the Piggly Wiggly signage is gone and the building is being cleaned up, apparently to show to other potential clients.

If anything can be learned from Selig, it will be shared with you ASAP.

 

Moon smiles over Decatur on 4/16/2010

Hope you got to see this yourself. The image is not sharp enough to tell, but it was just a sliver (probably less than 5% full) in a near perfect horizontal position, looking like the lips in a smilie.

Wish I'd had my 9mp camera with 10X zoom and a tripod, in which case I could have obtained a much sharper image for you. The Bradley Observatory at Agnes Scott should consider publishing the most interesting image it can obtain on any clear sky night. It would increase awareness of what it offers to the surrounding community, and we'd greatly enjoy the images.
