GOOD has a great annotated chart showing the long-term history of our GDP, national debt, and stock market indices in inflation-adjusted dollars.  Click on the link there to see it in large format.

Best thing this blogger has stumbled upon today. Every person over 18 should study this thoroughly. Parents should explain it to their kids who are old enough to be interested and understand.

Apparently a hard copy the chart can be purchased at Starbucks, through today, while supplies last.
