Panel to discuss indie bookstores at Push Push Friday
November 21 Friday
For lovers of all books – well, except best-seller lists and talk-show throwaways – comes PAPERBACK DREAMS: AN ODE TO INDEPENDENT BOOKSTORES, a documentary that tells the story of two independent-bookstore owners as they endeavor to survive through the sine wave of small-business ownership.
Presented by local independents A Cappella, Blue Elephant, Charis, Eagle Eye, Little Shop of Stories and Outwrite.
The screening will be followed by an informal panel discussion moderated by the film's director and producer, Alex Beckstead, and that includes Daren Wand Wang, executive director of the AJC Decatur Book Festival. Free. 7 p.m. PushPush Theater, 121 New St., No. 4, Decatur. 404-377-6332. www.paperbackdreams.com. (Sean Dettman)
The CL writter misspelled DW's last name, and I didn't notice it. Sorry, Daren.
