Decaturites can get in shape at Operation Boot Camp 5 days a week (M-F) 6-7AM in the Decatur High parking lot at the corner of Howard and McDonough.
Operation Boot Camp workouts run no more than an hour, during which you’ll blast calories, improve strength and form a strong bond with your fellow recruits. Yes, your will and determination will be tested, and there are days when you’ll be sore. But you also can count on instructors to be by your side at every step, challenging you to push harder – and congratulating you when you cross the finish line. In addition, instructors monitor your daily food intake, helping you learn how to incorporate nutrition into an overall healthy lifestyle.
There is a simple registration process.
If, like this blogger, you need a little structured discipline (like I got in the Army a long time ago) to encourage you to get in shape, but you don't want to pay big bucks for it, this might be the program for you.
I can't personally recommend this program, as I've not seen it yet, and I will not know what it costs until I work my way to the last page of the registration process; but an acquaintance highly recommends it. I'd suggest you monitor a session and ask some questions. The acquaintance suggests being in the parking lot by 5:45AM. Might as wear your exercise outfit, as they might let you participate.
