Read Decatur's draft charter petition
The public can now access the City Schools of Decatur's Charter
petition draft on the district's Web site at
http://www.decatur-city.k12.ga.us/fyi/fyi60.shtml.
On October 16th there will be a public input session during which the
public is welcome to share their thoughts and concerns about CSD's
exploration of Charter status and the Charter petition draft. The
session will be held at 6:30 p.m. in the Edith A. Hambie Professional
Learning Center at the Central Office at Westchester (758 Scott
Blvd., Decatur 30030).

Whether you have kids or not, you need to learn as much as you can about this, and voice any strong opinions you develop at the meeting next week. The deadline for application is the end of the month, and it appears the board is headed full speed toward applying.
