Cynthia has developed a new website for the Decatur Heights Neighborhood Association. You find it at:
http://www.DecaturHeights.wordpress.com
There is a link to a monthly newsletter from there. The link to this site is appreciated.
There are also two google groups from the neighborhood (I don't care to try to explain why, so don't ask. It behooves those who duplicated my efforts to explain their actions.) Links to them are in the standing opening message here.
This site remains the original Decatur Heights Neighborhood blog, created by one born into this neighborhood just months after WWII. (It was originally created to honor a commitment made in a DHNA meeting way back, but was never accepted as the official DHNA website. Again, I don't care to explain it, as it never made sense to me.)
Since this site was built some years ago, and has not been maintained as well as it should have been, some of the links are obsolete. This will be corrected -- sometime. But, much of the reference material, such as the maps and aerial photos, is still valid.
New efforts are applauded. Should they fall by the wayside in future, old reliable should still be here, sharing information about our neighborhood. [Due to medical issues, this site has been more or less on hold since November, 2010. It should liven up soon. But, it will not duplicate information already on other sites, but rather link to it.]
Comments are welcome and encouraged.
