Actor John Ratzenberger (best known for the role of Cliff Claven in "Cheers" but who also has assumed a number of other roles) was interviewed by Rusty Humphries on 640AM WGST in Atlanta on Monday, 10/24/2011.
Click on the bar below to hear a 14 minute audio recording of the interview, in which John talks about the importance of manufacturing to America, the movement of jobs oversees, the lack of skilled vocational labor, what the Center is doing to reverse these trends, and how we can help.
He is Senior Fellow at the Center for America which is his main focus now. See the video at the link to learn about the 10x20 Project.
By 2020, we'll have 10 million vacancies in jobs requiring skilled labor. This is why vocational programs such as the one recently started at Decatur High are so important. Strangely, DHS had a similar program back in the 70s.
