C-130 carrier landing

[LINK] YouTube (courtesy AirSpaceMag.com)

That's a BIG plane to be landing on an aircraft carrier (and still the largest ever).

Just shows how versatile it is.

Despite the successful test landing in October, 1963, the Navy deemed it too risky to do on an operational basis. More here.

In 2005, the plane found a new home at the National Museum of Naval Aviation in Pensacola.

The Navy is showing renewed interest now, as it explores sea-based resources.
