The A-C-E blog is best known for its obsession with BFHs (large bore handguns). The biggest and baddest are those which fire the .50 BMG round.
Some insist there is no such thing as a .50 BMG handgun. They say nobody could handle the recoil. But, when A-C-E posted an image of a prototype one (never produced for sale), and one commenter made such an assertion, another commenter sent in a photo of someone firing it:
The handgun is purportedly the "Thunder 50" featured some time ago here at A-C-E:
It's best feature was a recoil compensation system, which would obviously be critical for firing the huge .50 BMG round in a handgun.
Now, we all know it's easy to use photoshop to show almost anything, and ACE cannot verify the authenticity of this image. So, we'll just call this a "Believe it, or not."
Just a note: Considering the size of the firearm, the guy firing would have to be about 7 feet tall. The "Polaroid" look is also suspect, as some think that makes an image look more realistic.
What do you think? Real photo, or not?
