Remington has introduced a 115-grain 6.8mm SPC Core-Lokt Ultra bonded cartridge.
The question is: Will hunters embrace it?
Personally, I'd lean toward the 140 grain .270 if I hunted deer. You can buy a.270 rifle for under $800 at Walmart, you can find cheap ammo at a local shop wherever you go, and it will not make your neighbors and the local cops nervous, like the $2700 black Barrett 6.8mm tactical rifle.
If I'm going to shell out big $$$ for an AR tactical rifle, it's going to be AT LEAST a .308.
ACE prediction: This caliber will be dropped within 5 years. The manager who decided to pursue it will retire. 6.8mm rifles will become collector items.
