South Korea to use armed robots on DMZ by 2011
The Korea Times reports:
The Defense Ministry said Friday that it will introduce a robot surveillance system for the defense of frontline areas along the inter-Korean border by 2011.
The six-year project was initiated last October to strengthen surveillance along the heavily fortified border with North Korea, ministry spokesman Shin Hyun-don told reporters.
